Frequently asked questions
Yes, you can always withdraw your precious metals from storage. Contact our customer service and we will send you the required documents. After approval the precious metal is delivered to your known address in the Netherlands, or you can collect it at our office by appointment. Please note that delivery requires verification to confirm your identity.
Yes. Your precious metals are continuously insured for the full replacement value, both in the vault and during transport. The insurance covers theft, fire and calamities. You do not need to arrange anything extra — the insurance is included in your storage subscription.
Your position is always visible in real time through your personal account. In addition, Goudverzekerd has an independent accountant audit the storage locations annually. The findings of this audit are shared with you. Each piece of precious metal is individually registered with weight and serial number and is in your name.
Your precious metal is fully allocated property and never becomes part of the bankruptcy estate of Goudverzekerd. In the unlikely event of bankruptcy, a trustee together with an independent administrator will ensure that your precious metals are returned to you. The legal ownership structure is specifically set up to protect your assets.
Yes. Through your account you can submit a sales request. We then calculate the buy-back price based on the current spot rate. After your approval, payment usually takes place within one business day to your counter-account. The precious metal never physically leaves the vault — ownership is transferred administratively.
You can create an account directly via our website. After registration you complete a one-time identity verification (iDIN or copy of ID). This is legally required and takes an average of five minutes. Once your account is approved, you can choose storage on your next purchase.
Yes, storage is a paid service. The costs depend on the total value of your position and the chosen plan. Our Starter plan starts from € 9.95 per month and can be cancelled monthly. For larger positions or institutional clients we apply a custom rate. All costs include insurance — there are no hidden surcharges.
